EPISODE TWENTY-FOUR: RESCUING YUKINA!

Koenma has sent Yusuke on a mission to rescue Hiei's sister, who was nabbed by a merchant that makes money out of her tears. The task has not been easy, having encountered the 12 guards Tarukane has sent and now, three more are waiting for them inside the mansion. They first met Miyuki and now, Yusuke and Kuwabara was debating whether who would fight him. Kuwabara, being a gentleman that he is, refused to fight Miyuki because of who she is. Yusuke gladly stepped forward, who doesn't care if his opponent is a woman. He said he wants to make sure of something.

He first attacked Miyuki with a punch, resulting to a hole in the ceiling where she had taken refuge. She had Yusuke with her rope tightly tied on his neck. From the ceiling, she pulled him upwards, closer to the tip of her rope, which is pointed and sharp. Her plan to finish Yusuke then was spoiled when Yusuke swung himself up, creating a hole in the ceiling behind her. Miyuki backed a few steps away from her, but when he ran towards her direction and threw a strong punch to her chest, she fell from the ceiling and landed on the floor. Yusuke jumped down and anticipated her next move. 

Kuwabara was angry at Yusuke for treating her so roughly. Annoyed, Yusuke turned to Kuwabara and said that it's his fight and he'll fight his own way. Behind him, Miyuki was about to attack him, which Yusuke noticed and swung his leg around to kick her. This sent her to the wall, and she laid there, sprawled to the ground. As he stood in front of her, Yusuke told Kuwabara that he would have changed his strategy on fighting her if she's a woman. Then he dropped his bombshell. The woman in front of them is truly a man. Shocked, Botan and Kuwabara peered closely at Miyuki's physique. Kuwabara especially couldn't believe it. Miyuki stirred to consciousness, and tried to uplift her dignity. Still, it didn't change the fact that she is defeated. Kuwabara even wanted to make sure that what Yusuke's saying is true, but Botan gladly took care of him, slamming her oar into his head. Before they left, they pressed their faces close to a camera that's following their movements and they grinned, saying that they have passed one of Tarukane's men.

Tarukane was annoyed at the gang's attitude ...1 billion...

At Rei kai, Koenma hungrily eyed the yummy piece of dessert in front of him. Jorju enviously stared at Koenma as he prepared to gobble it up. Noticing Jorju's reaction, he offered to make a bet out of it: Yusuke and the gang vs. the 3 guards. Jorju placed his bet on Yusuke, but because Koenma wanted to vote on them, too, they settled the matter over a game of papers, sticks and stone. Jorju won and he earned the right to bet on Yusuke.

After Miyuki, they ran along the corridor. Kuwabara argued that Yusuke shouldn't have taken his chance on Miyuki. He asked Yusuke what he would do if Miyuki did turn out to be a female. Yusuke gleefully admitted that he would be pleased with his discovery and Kuwabara said that he would tell this to Keiko. Yusuke was not pleased, especially when Kuwabara said he liked Keiko, anyway. 

Outside, Hiei had finally reached the mansion. Snow fell, and he gingerly held out one of his hands to catch a snow flake. He remembered when Yukina was still young and was playing in the snow. Thinking that she's held by some selfish human inside the man caused his blood to boil in anger.

On their way to the mansion, Kuwabara sensed some energy that's waiting for them. He pushed Botan and Yusuke out of the way and someone attacked them. It sliced Kuwabara's bandanna (which is tied in his forehead) in half. Their attacker showed and introduced himself as Enmaki, saying that he's the second of the three guards planted to kill them. To their surprise, he vanished into thin air and the next thing they knew, Enmaki's weapon (claws) had found its way to Yusuke's back, slicing his skin from his back to his right shoulder. Yusuke grimaced in pain and they ran off, with Botan leading the way. Yusuke saw his chance to strike Enmaki when he saw a corridor, and he told Botan to turn to her right. When Enmaki, still invisible to their sight turned right, at Kuwabara's cue, Yusuke fired his spirit shot gun, hitting Enmaki straight and slamming him on the wall. Knowing the fight is over, Kuwabara explained that it didn't matter if they couldn't see him or if he is fast. As long as he can sense him coming, Yusuke would know when to fire his spirit shot gun. Again, they teased Tarukane saying that they still have one more guard to go!

Seeing Yusuke and his gang's progress, Koenma knew he'll lose his dessert. He told Jorju that the bet is off, but he was reminded that whoever backs out on his promise will be punished and will have to eat a 100 needles. Now, he can never back out in their bet.

They were caught by the third guard in surprise. Gokumonki appeared from inside the wall and reached out to grab Botan before she could react to Kuwabara's warning, who had again, with his rei kan, sensed the presence of their enemy. Gokumonki held Botan on the jacket she wore and she dangled in the air as the giant lifted her. Yusuke aimed his finger at him, but remembered that Botan could also get hurt. Kuwabara took out his rei kan, but it was blocked and later broked by Gokumonki's club. Yusuke thought of a plan and he did. He instructed Botan to raise her hands in the air, and confused as she was, she held her hands up, slid down to the floor and the two attacked the giant until he was lying on the floor, the wind knocked out of him. The three gladly celebrated in front of the camera.

Rei kai is in cheers. Jorju, especially, was looking forward to his dessert. When he heard the slurping noises Koenma made, he was surprised to see the dessert gone. Koenma apologized, saying that he had forgotten and therefore hadn't deliberately broken his promise. Judging from the look on Jorju's face, he certainly didn't believe the toddler.

Now, Tarukane is getting worried. Sakyo was giving him a run on his money. The other businessmen said that they must follow Sakyo's strategy, and that they have to make up for their losses. Tarukane announced that there is one more bet to make: the Toguro brothers against Yusuke's gang. Like before, everyone voted for the brothers, exceot fro Sakyou who placed a hundred billion bet behind the humans. This caused quite a reaction from the others, but Sakyo remained firm in his stand. Tarukane has placed his full faith on the two brothers and he ordered his butler to get Yukina from her tower and bring her down to prevent her from escaping.

The three continued their pacing and Botan announced that Yukina is just nearby. Kuwabara announced that he knew that, too, because of love. He then tried to communicate with her through telepathy, and he sent a message introducing himself. To his surprise, she heard him and has sent a message back. She wanted him to go and escape because beside her (Toguro Ototo and Toguro Ani plus the armed human guards of Tarukane) are the powerful men sent to finish them for good. Kuwabara dismissed it by saying that he'll rescue her, and that he isn't getting a bad feeling from the two.

They hurried to get to where Yukina is and had entered an empty arena, where below them stood the Toguro brothers and above them stood Tarukane beside Yukina. Kuwabara stared up and glanced at the two in front of them and assured her that he'll rescue her. He hadn't sensed anything from the two and neither did Yusuke. 

The cheers in Rei kai are gone when Koenma stared at the screen. He was familiar with the Toguro brothers and had worried because they are very very strong. Toguro Ototo's words had echoed on Yusuke and Kuwabara, who told them to be careful with him. The time has come for Yusuke's gang to fight the Toguro brothers.
