EPISODE SIXTEEN: KUWABARA'S TOUGH ORDEAL

As they proceeded on their search for the next Makai beast, Kuwabara began showing off his rei ken. Hiei, who was unimpressed went on discouraging Kuwabara, much to his annoyance. Koenma was impressed with Kuwabara, and vowed to let him take the test possible rei kai tantei(s) take. Then, Yusuke received a call from Botan, who reported that Makai insets have gathered at Yusuke's school, and there was a huge possibility even the little children were bit by them. Hearing this, Hiei said that he will take care of the remaining three beasts, since Kurama looked like he was unable to fight anymore. He and Kuwabara argued on who will take the rest of the beasts. They were interrupted by a loud groan from the second beast.

Reaching it's room, they met Byako, a huge beast that resembled a tiger. His moans cracked the ground open and formed a tiny path fit for a person to walk on one at a time. Kuwabara decided this was his fight, even if the sight of Byako nearly drove him faint with fear.

On his first attack, Byako plucked off four strands of his green hair and blew air into it. They transformed into huge cat-like creatures with sharp claws and sharp teeth. They clawed up Kuwabara until he was weak. Thinking for a solution, Kuwabara frantically defended himself from the attacking claws. That's when he decided to run at the narrow path to where the others were standing. Of course, the creatures followed him. Kuwabara then faced them and willed his rei ken to grow longer, piercing the creatures along the way. This didn't stop them. Pierced together, they ran after Kuwabara, and he ran towards Yusuke and the others. He ran around the tower behind them, and there, he successfully tied the creatures up.

Byako wasn't pleased with what happened, and came to face Kuwabara himself. As Kuwabara attacked him with his rei ken, Byako just gulped down Kuwabara's ki with each strike. Soon enough, Kuwabara's ki was nearly drained by Byako and he was getting bigger. Not letting himself be intimidated with his size, Kuwabara went on using the rei ken, although he knew he will just get weaker by doing so. Kuwabara is faced with a tough opponent. Will his rei ken be enough?
