EPISODE TWELVE: RANDOU'S TRUE IDENTITY

The next fight was Kuwabara vs. Sholin. Based from Kuwabara's performance against his opponent, Yusuke and Botan concluded that Randou must have been killed a long time ago and so, he didn't make it to Genkai's tournament. Kuwabara totally defeated Sholin. At least, that's what they think.

After receiving painful blows from Kuwabara, Sholin switched to offense. He made fireballs appear on his hand and threw them towards Kuwabara's direction. He panicked and almost lost his control on the match. Remembering the rei ken, he used a broken piece of wood to make it appear, and batted Sholin's fireball back to him. Triumphant, Kuwabara taunted Sholin. He didn't know the effect of it on Sholin, though.

Yusuke and Botan noticed the increasing ki surrounding Sholin. They quickly erased their conclusion about Randou being dead. Their suspicions proved to be correct when Sholin used a spell that was done by someone Genkai knew. It appears that Randou killed the person who originally uses it and kept the power for his evil use. Before they knew it, Kuwabara shrunk out of their view.

Toying with the now tiny Kuwabara, Sholin tossed, twisted and pinched Kuwabara until Genkai called the match off. Sholin won! But he didn't stop. After dropping Kuwabara on the ground, he brought him back to his original form and Botan concluded that with both arms broken and a leg fractured, Kuwabara may be an invalid for the rest of his life. Yusuke swore to avenge his friend's fate.

The next match was Yusuke vs. Sholin. Watching over at Rei kai, Koenma thought Yusuke had a fair chance to win. Yusuke gave Sholin a punch at his left jaw. That's when he decided to use tornadoes to defeat Yusuke. Since that move wasn't what he expected, Yusuke was unprepared for what happened and had gotten burnt marks on both shoulders. To stop Sholin, he jumped at the center of the tornado rings and pressed both his arms in a V position on Sholin's neck to keep him from breathing. He fell on the ground, and Yusuke felt he won.

He approached Genkai to demand his prize when she told him that the fight was just beginning. Glancing at his back, Yusuke saw the real form of Sholin.

They were right. Sholin and Randou are the same entities.
