Name: Yoshihiro Togashi
Yoshihiro Togashi is the middle child with an older sister and a younger brother, who's also a cartoonist. He likes to play video games (Biohazard) and bowling on his spare time.
He received the Tezuka Award, an award named after Tezuka Osamu, who is an influential comic artist in Japan, before making Yuyu Hakusho. Though his first work was Tonda Birthday Present (1986), Yoshihiro Togashi's Ten de Seiaku Cupid (Wicked Cupid) debuted at Weekly Shounen Jump magazine. Yuyu Hakusho then followed, and was the one considered a great success. It was published in 1990 weekly at Syoukan Shounen Jump magazine, selling 40 million copies of all 19 volumes.
Another big hit was his work, Hunter X Hunter, also under Syoukan Shounen Jump. The 14 volume manga sold 20 million copies.
They announced their wedding plans at Comike, which is the largest doujinshi convention in Japan. There, they personally sold a doujinshi they made themselves. Because only 200 copies were printed, it is one of the rarest doujinshi ever published. It can be considered a collector's item.
Also, before their wedding, Naoko and Yoshihiro sold a limited number of postcards and 1999 calendars that contain their artwork. In front of the calendar reads " January 6, 1999 Yoshihiro Togashi and Naoko Takeuchi celebrates their wedding." Of course, all these are very limited, and fans have a limit on the number of products they could buy.
Now, Yoshihiro Togashi and Naoko Takeuchi are the proud parents of a healthy boy.
His other works include Tonda birthday present (1986) , which is his first work, Ten de Seiaku Cupid (Wicked Cupid), Okami nante kowaikunai!! (I'm Not Afraid of Wolf!!), Level E, Yuyu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter.
